1. Do you have the urge to do a Fall/Spring cleaning as soon as the weather turns?  Normally, yes.  I like to do a spring and a fall cleaning, to get the old energy out and the new in, but this year, school has already mentally exhausted me to the point that I don't want to do anything on my free time.

2. What tells you that the season (a certain smell, a certain taste, that sort of thing) has changed?
The quality of the sunlight. Sister sun changes how she shines as she moves through the sky.

3. What do you look forward to the most with the change of seasons?
Fresh energetic starts.

4. What is something that you probably should accomplish but won’t this season?
I don't know yet. I haven't yet sat down to plan out my Q4 goals.

5. What is the most enjoyable part of the oncoming season for you?
Nothing. This year, I want to hold onto summer. I was finally getting back on track with my core self and recharging my batteries. Summer was fantastic. Then I went back into the classroom, and after  14 days with students, I'm exhausted and ready to throw in the towel. To keep myself forward thinking and hopeful, I'll be trying local apple orchards for their seasonl selections.

I can understand your wanting to hold on to summer. It did seem to really blast by this year. And I do remember how draining students can be. I've been gone from the college just long enough to remember the good stuff more than the bad.

Be brave, at least there are holiday breaks to look forward to.

And we were so hot, it was almost impossible to be outside. We had to settle for swimming in the late afternoon/evening most of the time. It just seemed like it blasted by far too quickly. While I'm delighted that fall is here, I wish things would slow down a bit 9well, things other than me).

My hat is off to anyone who works with challenged students. You guys deserve all the help and finances that you can get. Sadly, we seem to be more bent on paying big money to sports figures and actors. Such a jacked up system...

Happy coping!

I'm sorry you're already drained after just a short time with your students. I can only imagine what it's like to be a teacher these days. Kudos to you for that! <3

*HUGS* Its been a rough year already and its not even a full month into school. My husband's already applied to other school districts and studies for civil service tests, despite being placed in the special ED kids this year as their teacher's assistant. (The past few years he was in a bilingual program.)

However, that said, just remember to breathe. Do the best you can to take time out for yourself to rejuvenate. ♥
